Landscape paintings have been thought of as "windows" on walls, offering a scenic view in place of an actual window. My "Window" pieces are an abstracted play on that idea — a portal or scene in which the viewer can relegate their own view through the existing shapes and layers. I've included these works in the Australia Abstract series as they also relate to travel and personal experience.
